Yoo Mia is the younger sister of Yoo Joonghyuk, the protagonist of Ways of Survival. She plays a minor role in Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint.
Appearance[]
She has wide black eyes with thin double eyelids and thick eyebrows, similar to her older brother Yoo Joonghyuk. She wears her hair in two pig tails.
Personality[]
Yoo Mia has the same outspokenness of her elder brother, but combines it with a more energetic, upbeat personality. She can often be rude (for instance, having made distressing comments about Kim Dokja's appearance on a number of occasions[1][2]). She does not seem to mind being left out of the main action, though it can be assumed she worries for those fighting on the front lines. However, at times she can get stir-crazy and assert herself in situations where she does not perceive any immediate danger. She cares very deeply for those who she recognizes as family, to the point of interfering in Secretive Plotter's captivity and offering to aid in his escape, despite her brother (who she almost always otherwise obeys) yelling at her to keep away from him.[3]

Mia was dropped at Yoo Joonghyuk's door with a note saying she's his sister. He decided to take care of her and raise her on his own.

- Inventory: Allows Yoo Mia to open her mouth wider than humanly possible and store objects in what is presumably a pocket dimension inside. In this manner, she can carry around objects that are significantly larger and heavier than what should be possible to carry inside one's mouth. The size/weight limit of what she can store in her mouth is unknown.[1]

Yoo Joonghyuk[]
Yoo Mia and her elder brother are very close to each other, likely due to him having raised her for the majority of her life. She teases him without fear, only getting light reprimands in return; he is also quick to answer her questions where he might be less cooperative with someone else.[4] She receives a good deal of favour from Yoo Joonghyuk; he often pets her hair[2] and, on one occasion, has hand-fed her food.[5] Yoo Mia is somewhat possessive of her brother, having fought with Shin Yoosung over him when the other girl became too clingy.[6] She thinks very highly of him, bragging about his strength to others; all the same, she is aware of his rudeness.[7] She is unafraid of standing up to him when he says things she doesn't agree with.[3]

- There is no official hanja for her name however her name could be written as 迷兒, lost child, or 美雅, refined beauty.
- The hangul for her name can mean lost child, possibly a reference to how she was abandoned as a baby.
