The Four Tiger Evil Cutting Sword, is a sword summoned in the fourth main scenario and used by Kim Dokja.

History[]

A historical sword made in the year of the tiger in the month of the tiger on the day of the tiger on the hour of the tiger. Connected to The Big Dipper.

Synopsis[]

The sword is summoned by gathering the seven star jewels of the Big Dipper together. Han Sooyoung steals the seven jewels from the other Kings and summons it. She attempts to use it to kill everyone but finds it weaker than expected. When Yoo Joonghyuk arrives Kim Dokja convinces her to give it to him in order to defend against him.[1]

Kim Dokja uses it to sever the connection between the Absolute Throne and the Unknown God and destroy the throne.[2]

When he meets Han Myungoh again in the Demon Realm Kim Dokja uses the sword to cut off Asmodeus' vision of what they are doing. Before the Demon King Selection he uses it to sever the connection between Nouveau Riche Snake Boss and Nail-Eating Rat with their incarnation bodies.[3]

In the 1863rd regression the Lee Jihye of that round attacks Kim Dokja with the sword to try and sever his sponsor connection because she assumes it is the source of his power, but it doesn't work and reveals that he is a constellation.[4]

Dokja attempts to use it to sever the connection between Yoo Joonghyuk and his sponsor in the 1863rd regression, however, it fails.

Abilities[]

The Four Tiger Evil Cutting sword can be used as a regular sword, however it is fairly weak. It's main use is to use the power of the Big Dipper to sever the connection between an object or incarnation and a constellation or outer god. The only exception to this is Yoo Joonghyuk's sponsor, who's connection cannot be severed by any means.

Trivia[]

  • The Four Tiger sword is a real sword currently in the national Korean museum. It was used for ceremonial rites and destroying demons. See here for pictures of the real sword.
  • The unofficial English translation refers to it as four yin which is a literal but incorrect translation of its meaning. In this case yin is referring to tigers who are associated with yin.
  • This sword could only be made every 12 years in the year of the tiger, in the month of the tiger, on the day of the tiger, on the hour of the tiger.
  • The seven stars of the big dipper are inscribed on one side and on the other is a warding spell.
  • 斬 can mean to cut, to sever, or to behead. All meanings could be used for the translation of the name of the sword. This wiki has chosen to use cutting.
