Episode 36 – Story Horizon is the thirty-sixth episode of the webnovel Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint.

Summary[]

The tenth main scenario is cleared and incarnations marvel at the Dark Castle's crumbling. Everyone is teleported into Seoul with a message saying that they can soon escape the dome that was trapping them. The party looks at Yoo Joonghyuk to explain the circumstances inside Dark Castle, but he expresses that there is nothing they can do for Kim Dokja. Yoo Joonghyuk contemplates regressing but instead resolves to make the most of the life given to him by Kim Dokja, and escapes the dome with the rest of the incarnations.

Later, Kim Dokja wakes up in the darkness of an abandoned Seoul Dome. The Fourth Wall keeps him company and protects him from the exile penalty that would otherwise cripple him. He makes his way to an item stash he had Bihyung place for him that contains some vital items and the dokkaebi egg. While waiting for someone to appear, he vows to pull the constellations down from the heaven they live in.

A wenny man, a demon that lives in the horizon of the story, appears to try and take the dokkaebi egg. However, Kim Dokja refuses him and instead tries to negotiate with the wenny man. In exchange for Kim Dokja's story depicting the time he beat up Paul the dokkaebi, the Wenny Man offers to send Kim Dokja to the 73rd Demon Realm with some information; the only way he could possibly obtain both an incarnation body and entry into a scenario. Kim Dokja agrees to the deal, secretly intending to come here all along. He is teleported to a vast landfill and uses an new attribute he bought, "Lamarck's Giraffe," to absorb nearby discarded story fragments and reconstruct his body.

Meanwhile, Jung Heewon and the rest of the party struggle to acclimate to the new reality they live in. Although it's peaceful, they scatter without Kim Dokja to guide them. The people outside of the Seoul Dome try to find out what happened and maintain order, but they are mostly rebuffed. A week after their escape, with the scenarios soon to start again, Jung Heewon finally feels compelled to speak to some reporters. She claims not to be a hero, and asks if anyone knows Kim Dokja, but she soon starts to feel like crying knowing that no one does. She proclaims as her wish that he would definitely be back.

In the empty and cold expanse of the demon realm, Kim Dokja opens his eyes and vomits, perpetually pained by the exile penalty. However, he is soon filled with a slight warmth: a system message appears saying that his story was being created on Earth. He finds it funny that someone was telling his story; that someone still remembered him. He looks up at the sky and thinks to himself that the story which would soon destroy the arrogant stars had just begun.
