In the library they appear as a smaller squid like creature with twelve tentacles that wears glasses.[2]

The Eater of Dreams has existed for thousands of years. At some point the Recorders of Fear gave it the name Eater of Dreams.

Yoo Joonghyuk fought against and killed it in his 136th regression. He killed it by allowing it to eat him and overwhelming it with all his stories of suffering across his previous regressions.

Synopsis[]

The Eater of Dreams was summoned to the Dark Castle after Ungnyeo sacrificed her shadow to summon it. It consumed Ungyeo and Lee Sookyung but was attacked by Kim Dokja, Yoo Joonghyuk, and Cheok Jungyeong.[3] Kim Dokja entered into the Eater of Dreams to rescue his mother, but the Eater of Dreams refused to negotiate with him and tried to eat him. The Eater of Dreams could not handle the numerous stories from 'Ways of Survival' coming out of him and was in turn eaten by the Fourth Wall.[4]

After being consumed by the Fourth Wall it became a 'Librarian' inside of the Fourth Wall's Library where it read stories and organized shelves.[2]

Though initially enemies, the Eater of Dreams is very fond of Kim Dokja and feels it owes him a debt because being inside the Fourth Wall allowed them to understand the truths off the universe. They care about Dokja's story and carefully organized the library from 0-100. Nirvana mentions that it wanted to meet Dokja again very badly and were the most passionate out of all the librarians.
