Episode 35: Chapter 188 - The 73rd Demon King (7) is the one hundred and eighty-eighth chapter of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, and the last chapter in Volume 1.

Summary[]

Kim Dokja is hit by the searing flames of punishment from Jung Heewon's attacks. Jung Heewon cries through her attacks, but Kim Dokja is surprised to see that even Jung Heewon's full efforts wouldn't be enough to kill him in the time limit. He is forced to borrow more help.

Kim Dokja looks at his incarnation, Shin Yoosung. The girl trembles and shakes her head. He passes on his emotions to Shin Yoosung, who bursts out in tears. Despite her pain and bitterness, Shin Yoosung holds up Lee Gilyoung's hand and tries to summon the Chimera Dragon. However, the Beast Master's command alone is not enough to convince the Chimera Dragon to fight. Kim Dokja gently promises to Lee Gilyoung that he would come back. The boy cries out, but uses Taming. Kim Dokja is hit by the Chimera Dragon's magic Breath, and is nearly torn apart.

Yoo Joonghyuk finally rises from the stone wall, having been healed by a now exhausted Lee Seolhwa. The regressor takes no convincing to fight, and only regrets not having been the one to be sacrificed. Yoo Joonghyuk's despair is felt by Kim Dokja whenever he is cut. Kim Dokja convinces Yoo Joonghyuk to bring out the sword Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi, which destroys all of Kim Dokja's extra lives from the Eight Lives attribute. Kim Dokja looks at Shin Yoosung, who is granted a stigma 'Sacrifice's Will' from her constellation. The new stigma greatly increases the attack power of the party and rejuvenates them in proportion to the desperation of their lives. Kim Dokja's death is now confirmed.

Kim Dokja recalls the fate placed upon him. In the Star Stream, people are stories. He realizes the prophecies meaning; he is killed by not any one person he loves, but the story he loves above all: the new story he created with his companions. He looks up at the sky, completely drained. The scenario ends. Seoul Dome has been freed.

As Kim Dokja's vision starts to fade, he faintly hears the cries of his friends. A small hole starts to suck his body away. The constellations watching him start to fade in the night sky, as he leaves the area of the channel. He hears the constellation's messages not wishing for his death, especially Uriel's, but the sky finally goes out: incarnation Kim Dokja's story has ended. His incarnation body is destroyed, and Kim Dokja is expelled from the scenario.

In the faraway darkness, the Star Stream announces his modifier: Demon King of Salvation.
