Line of Hypocrisy (2) is the sixteenth chapter of the Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint webtoon.

Summary[]

As they enter the platform, Yoo Sangah, Lee Gilyoung, and Lee Hyunsung emerge from the crowd and enthusiastically greet Kim Dokja; he checks their condition, handing Lee Gilyoung a chocolate bar from his bag. Lee Hyunsung mentions that Yoo Joonghyuk told them Kim Dokja would be fine, and that he left the station the day before Kim Dokja came. Just then, their conversation is interrupted by a group of men who isolate and surround Kim Dokja; they are followed by an anxious Han Myungoh, who insists that Kim Dokja is a terrible man and should be thrown out. His demands are dismissed by another man, who introduces himself as Cheon Inho. Cheon Inho gathers the attention of the people at the station and directs them to Kim Dokja, proclaiming that he is the newest member of their group and has kindly brought food to them. Kim Dokja, watching the reactions of the station residents, understands that Cheon Inho intends to pressure him, and upon this realization he decides Cheon Inho's fate.

Kim Dokja puts off dealing with Cheon Inho due to the constellations' current lack of focus on him, instead having Lee Hyunsung explain the situation at Geumho Station to him. He learns about the protector-dependent relationship between the mainstream and the marginalized groups, and also learns how patrols searching for food are sent out with only the mainstream group members returning. Jung Heewon, the woman whose life Kim Dokja saved and who has since been healing, was part of such a patrol.

Kim Dokja notes Lee Hyunsung's strength and points out that the mainstream group must have tried to recruit him, but Lee Hyunsung says he refused, feeling something was wrong. Kim Dokja praises him and starts handing out food to the hungry party. They are surprised, however, when he says that they will have to start paying 10 coins apiece from the next meal. Jung Heewon, having woken up in the meantime, pays for this meal as well and encourages the others to join her, pointing out that Kim Dokja risked his life for the food and deserves payment. They all exchange coins individually, with Lee Gilyoung paying even for the chocolate bar Kim Dokja gave him earlier. Cheon Inho asks to speak with Kim Dokja. He offers him a high position in the mainstream group in exchange for his service as a "hitman", collecting food for the group; this job, Kim Dokja knows, was held by Yoo Joonghyuk before he left. He rejects Cheon Inho's offer. As he walks away, the marginalized group descends on Kim Dokja, begging him to reconsider and share the food.
