Reading Again (1) is the one hundred and seventieth chapter of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint.
Summary[]
Kim Dokja has a flashback to his first time reading a novel, and remembered how he felt reading novel, and especially how hollow he felt when he reached the 'end' of a book. His mother helped him get over the feeling by teaching him to read the story again, because each reading might reveal a different story. He pondered on the alternate future where his mother didn't encourage him to read again, before he was interrupted by King Oedipus, who warns him that his 'inavoidable fate' is coming, and he must decide which side he belongs. He haughtily believed that Dokja will join Olympus due to how his story fits the narrative of Olympus. Dokja was about to refuse, but his memories about his mother's murder of his father came back, and Oedipus leave him with a threatening statement; he either succeed the tale of Carnival of Lightning, or he will die 'forever' in the following scenarios.
Dokja then woke up, resurrected as his Eight Lives attribute is activated. He reaclimated himself with his resurrected body and wondered about the circumstances leading to his death. He received a notification that he has now gotten the title 'Messiah Who Bears Shame', due to the timing of his death coinciding with the incident with the Chinese dress. Han Sooyoung then appears, saying that they were ambushed by people wearing mask and she was unable to defend him, and while she carried his body to safety, she was transported someplace else, the place they are at right now, a field of clouds.
She informed Dokja that he has been dead for three days, and she used the time in order to train herself with her Clone ability. Dokja inquires about her ability further, as she said her ability is limited by the fact that she has to give up some of her memories to her clone in order for them to be functional. She revealed that the first time she tried the clone ability, she has a problem because she gave one of her clone too much memories and it went out of control.
As she dismissed all of her clones, she remembered that constellations from the Vedas and Tamna Nebula came to visit him while he is dead, asking him to make the right choice. She also remembered Cheok Jungyeong visiting without saying anything, which led Dokja to realize that the place they are in is related to constellations method of travelling called the Mechanical Gateway Array. He called out to the air, and Cho Youngran appears. Dokja then realized that the King of Wanderer is responsible for killing him. Youngran said that the king is waiting for him, and Dokja agreed to follow her.
