Episode 3: Chapter 12 - Contract (1) is the twelfth chapter of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint.

Summary[]

Kim Dokja falls into Han River and into the ichthyosaur's mouth. He thinks back to Yoo Joonghyuk's expression on the bridge, and realizes that this is supposed to be a test set by the wary regressor, aiming to prove that he is worthy of being his comrade. Kim Dokja grumbles about Yoo Joonghyuk's actions as he makes his way to a styrofoam raft. He replays his message log and sees sponsorship from Prisoner of the Golden Headband and Demon-like Judge of Fire, but disappointment from Secretive Plotter.

Kim Dokja checks his phone, learning that he has 3 hours before the ichthyosaur's stomach begins secreting acid. At that moment, the dokkaebi from earlier appears before Kim Dokja, who asks if he is here to retrieve the scenario failure compensation. The dokkaebi wonders at his lack of fear. When Kim Dokja denies the dokkaebi's request for all the coins he possesses, the dokkaebi becomes angry, and Kim Dokja offers up his life instead. However, due to his intriguing actions and circumstances, the dokkaebi is reluctant to kill him.

Kim Dokja takes advantage of the dokkaebi's hesitation, identifying him as Bihyung and asking him about how he's been feeling about the constellations' stinginess recently. Bihyung is taken aback at his knowledge, as are some constellations; Secretive Plotter, however, is excited. Kim Dokja indicates for Bihyung to close his channel temporarily so that they can talk freely. He does so, and asks how Kim Dokja knows so much about the Star Stream. However, Kim Dokja brushes off his concerns, instead asking if Bihyung wants to be King of the Dokkaebis. He proposes that Bihyung sign a contract with him, where he would make him king.[1]
